Let's Talk About Benefits (and I don't mean insurance!)

http://www.KristinPelletier.com No, not insurance benefits, but instead the benefit of everything that your dental practice offers your patients and the value that they are receiving from you. It's important that you make your patients aware of all of the little extras that you provide that enhance their experience in your practice.

Do you talk to your patients about benefits? Not insurance benefits but, instead, the extra value that they receive as a patient in your practice. Many offices provide great value for their patients, but sadly, the patients often have no idea.

What extra little things does your practice do to enhance your patients’ experience? For example, your practice may do something as simple as use a warmer for anesthetics to make the injection more comfortable. Yet, as the patient is being prepped, they are never made aware of the exceptional treatment they are receiving.

Patients want to know that they are well cared for. It is important that you communicate everything that you’re doing in a way that lets the patient see the benefit of being a patient in your practice. Even though these are things that you do day in and day out, and you know the value of them, patients may not even be aware they are getting treatment that is above the norm.

I recommend that you schedule a team meeting to talk about all of the things you are already doing to take extra care of your patients, and discuss how you can make sure that your patients are aware of these extras. Make a list of things that you can start communicating to your patients to increase the value that they perceive when they are in your practice.

In the comments space below, I’d love to hear what extra benefits you’re providing to your patients. Let’s start a list so we can inspire each other to take a deeper look at what each of us can do to differentiate ourselves from other practices in your area.
